Blue Ridge Parkway National Park
An old growth forest intersects with a partial clearing along one of the highest stretches of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I’ve had my eye on this location for nearly a decade and have visited several times each spring to investigate the blooms and light. Like a carefully arranged still life, this natural garden has an organic harmony with the forest backdrop – this is especially evident with the presence of the sunken clouds to fully define this remarkable little patch of Pisgah.
