This series of craggy mountains juts out of the primary spine of the Rockies in such a way that their grandeur can be seen clearly from the valley floor. What’s more, their angle is perfect for catching the typically secluded kisses of twilight color dancing across the peaks. A further inspection of the shoulders of the mountains reveals LarchTrees displaying their brilliant autumn needles. Larches are a rare alpine species of deciduous conifer that change color in the fall and shed their needles each winter.
