Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia.

Flying high over the Great Barrier Reef in an open air helicopter for more than two hours, I scoured the reef for ideal subjects. Along the way I saw sea turtles, reef sharks, and giant schools of fish. In the end, this particular portion of the reef had the most vibrant color and abstract patterns – similar to that of the legendary Australian gemstone, the Opal.
