Confidently perched like the queen of her territory, this lioness has assumed a strategic vantage point overlooking the Serengeti plains. The distinct fruits of the Kigelia Africana tree seem to adorn her chamber-like environment. However, unbeknownst to the queen, there’s another royal in the house. One of the largest male leopards I’ve ever seen is also perched in the tree. The lioness no-doubt climbed this tree not knowing it was already occupied. He’s staying quiet and still because he knows that a duel with her could end in severe injury or even death for him or her, or even both. The lioness eventually came down never knowing about the stealthy male leopard.
